Answer: The Stockton Classic is for all high schools searching for girls Freshmen, Sophomores, or Varsity tournaments during the high school season. The Stockton Classic has grown to become one of the largest tournaments in the state. We separate teams by the level of play so that everyone gets quality matches. The Freshmen and Sophomore tournaments are typically held the 3rd and 4th Saturday in September and the Varsity tournament is usually held the 2nd to last Saturday in October (never on an SAT or ACT date).

Question: What time does play start?
Answer: 4:00pm for the Friday Night Classic matches (Varsity only). Play starts at 8:00am for all Saturday tournaments.

Question: What time should my team arrive?
Answer: Taggart gym will open at 3:30pm for the Friday Night Classic matches (Varsity only). Gyms will open at 7:15am for the Saturday tournaments, not before. Bathrooms are expected to open at the same time the gyms open at most sites.
Question: Where do we park?
Edison HS - The NEW school address is 100 West MLK Blvd, Stockton. Please park in the parking lot near Grant Taggart Gym and the football field. We recommend that you DO NOT park in the Dollar General lot as you risk having your vehicle towed. Please stay away from the construction areas.
Delta College - Park in lots B1 or Athletic 1 near facilities 3 or 4 on the campus map. Delta will not be enforcing daily parking for this tournament. We will be using Blanchard Gym and Marcopulos Gym for this tournament.
Bear Creek HS - There is a large lot in front of the school.
Weston Ranch - There is a large lot in front of the school.
Lincoln HS - There is a large lot in front of the school.
UOP - Park in lots 2 or 4. We will be using Janssen-Lagorio gym which is easily accessible from Pershing Ave. See the campus map.
Question: Will there be a coaches meeting?
Answer: Yes. Please check in with the site director at 7:30am for the Saturday tournaments. 2-day Varsity tournament will have a coaches meeting on Friday at 3:30pm at Edison High.
Question: Will there be a hospitality room?
Answer: Yes. The hospitality rooms are provided for all coaches and officials at all playing sites. The room will have breakfast items for morning play and sandwiches will be brought in mid-day. Your site director or volunteer will be able to direct you.
Question: Will there be a snack bar?
Answer: Yes, at Edison HS and Weston Ranch HS.
Question: Can we tailgate in the parking lots? Answer: Yes. There is not be NO open flame used. No power will provided or your teams for food purposes. PLEASE clean up after your teams, friends and family members.
Question: Can we bring water and food into the gyms?
Answer: Yes. Please clean up after your own players, family and friends.
Question: Do I need to bring in my chair?
Answer: No. Bleachers will be pulled out at each location. Chairs with rubber feet are allowed and please place a blanket under the chair or you may be asked to remove the chair.
Question: Is there anything specific to know about the Delta College location?
Answer: There are NO outside chairs allowed in ANY of the Delta College gyms. In case of rain, team set up will be on the 2nd floor close to the bathrooms; there will be cones to direct you. DO NOT SET UP NEAR THE GYM! Please set up in the B1 or Athletic 1 lots or on the 2nd floor ONLY. There will be no charge for parking at Delta College on Saturday in these 2 lots.
Question: Will the tournament charge admission?
Answer: Yes. Each site will charge admission and a wristband will be issued to enter. Only Sac Joaquin (SJS) section and Lifetime passes will be accepted. $8 per adult and $5 for 12 and under. The admission band is good for any site for the day.
Question: Will schedules be available ahead of time?
Answer: Yes. Pools will be sent out via email and posted online in advance for all levels.
Question: How are teams separated into divisions/playing locations?
Answer: Varsity teams are separated by MaxPreps results and overall school history, please update your matches on MaxPreps as soon as your match is over as we seed teams according to results. JV & Freshmen teams are separated by results from prior tournaments and overall school history.
